However I doubt if any Java virus or trojan have ever managed to spread massively through the world. 			The security section has serious POV issues: the author seems to be determined to state that Java applets are perfectly secure, and that the push for signing them was silly and unnecessary. I don't have the energy to track down who did this, or why, nor fix it. I redid the tenses in the rest of the article and did some heavy copyediting, but I'm done for the day.

			The new section should ideally cite articles about specific vulnerabilities and their impact, as well as how they were exploited. We need to find those articles about how much of a security nightmare applets were now, before they are slain by bitrot. The audience of this article will now be young internet historians learning about the wild world of the old net: we need to give them further reading materials on the fall of applets.
