Where was this? I saw some suggestions that it might not be a direct human ancestor, but nothing that I'd characterize as a firestorm, in the articles I read--Science, Nature News Update, the BBC, New Scientist, and Newsday. I've been tracking this, and working on the article; I'm leaning towards removing that comment, leaving in that it's unclear whether this is a human ancestor, a chimp ancestor, both, or neither.
