What does this mean?

"The contestants were then each given $60.00 to spend on whatever they wanted for the chefs to prepare a meal so thy weren't hungry for the show." Up until the word "meal," it makes perfect sense. What is the rest of the sentence trying to say? WaxTadpole (talk) 21:45, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
