The PageRank Algorithm is the Algorithm used by the Google Search_Engine to organize the search results for a google search. It involves giving a fractional ranking to each page, based on the links in the page to other pages, and the pages that link to it, where theoretically the sum of the ranks of all the pages in the Google database is the same as the total number of pages (i.e. the average rank is 1.0). This algorithm was designed as the thesis of a college paper by google's founders.
