Catherine Elizabeth Pierson (born 27 April 1948 in Weehawken, New Jersey)[1][2] is an American vocalist and one of the lead singers and founding members of The B-52s. She also plays keyboard, guitar and bass for the band. In The B-52s, she performs alongside Cindy Wilson, Fred Schneider, and Keith Strickland.
Personal life
Pierson is the owner of Kate's Lazy Meadow Motel in Mount Tremper, New York, a rustic modern motel in New York's Catskill Mountains near Woodstock, New York.[3] She operates the motel with her business partner, Monica Coleman, with whom she is also in a romantic relationship.[4][5][6][7][8]

- The Ramones, in the early 1980s on the song, "Chop Suey", with Cindy Wilson and Debbie Harry.
- Fred Schneider, on his first solo album from 1984 on songs "Monster", "Summer in Hell", "I'm Gonna Haunt You" and "Boonga (The New Jersey Caveman)".
- Iggy Pop, on the 1990 Top 20 song "Candy".[9]
