Kanako Momota (百田 夏菜子, Momota Kanako) (born July 12, 1994) is a Japanese idol singer. She is known as the leader and member of the female musical group Momoiro Clover Z. Her Momoiro Clover Z image color is Red.[2][3][4]
Biography
Kanako Momota was born on July 12, 1994, in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.[5] When she was in 5th grade of elementary school (she was 10 or 11), she applied for, and won an audition advertised on the magazine De☆View. That was held by her present office Stardust, inc. In spring 2008, Kanako Momota became a member of Momoiro Clover. In November 2008, she replaced Reni Takagi as the leader of the group. In March 2011, it was announced that Kanako Momota would appear in Mika Ninagawa's cosplay photoshoot series in the fashion magazine Zipper.[6]

- As she refers to her strengths, she is cheerful, competitive in everything. As weaknesses, she is a slow starter, often feels bothered in doing anything, often listen little deeply to others.[10][11]。
- Her hobby is watching DVDs in relaxing. Her specialities are rhythmic gymnastics and basketball.[10][11]。
- She dreams to act as an actress with Atsuko Maeda, a former member of AKB48.[12]
- Her favorite subject is PE, the unfavorite are Math and English. She is also poor at the Japanese and Chinese Characters Kanji.
- Her favorite movies are "Twilight (2008)"[11] and "The Magic Hour."[13]
