:::AWB is not an automated edit. You choose what to do. Also, the WP article about directions uses southeast, not south-east, etc. Do not use AWB to make edits that others have objected to. Cheers. Revision as of 20:24, 9 February 2016
Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia.
Thank you for your interest in Uganda. On the Kabale Airport page, earlier edits by me and others assumed "1.5m" meant miles as opposed to metres, but that length is unusual for an unpaved strip, and could not be verified. As a typo for "km" in the newspaper article however, it is verifiable and did make sense, and so I have changed that in the article.
For conversion, we try to keep units in approximately the same scale, so miles/km, or feet/metres. For precision specifying something, Wikipedia suggests 1/10th the size of the object, in this case that would be 150 metres, not 1 foot, as in 7,920 feet.Cptmrmcmillan (talk) 06:09, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
Let ask for further opinions
Also we do not using bolding for headings and we do not use the registered trade mark symbols.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 09:05, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
- What I wrote is not a heading. It is part of the quotation from the CDC. 70.124.133.228 (talk) 09:07, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
- We do not unnecessarily introduce large quotes like that. Please see the talk page. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 07:42, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- We do not plaigirize. 70.124.133.228 (talk) 08:30, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- Using quotations in the public domain from the CDC is not plagiarizing—especially when citing the original source. When content is in the public domain such as that produced by the US federal government, you don't even need to attribute—but we choose to do so anyway.CFCF 💌 📧 12:04, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- We put quotations marks around (or block quote) material we borrow, even when the material is properly attributed and the material is in the public domanin. We consider the failure to explicitly quote public domain material to be plagirism, plain and simple. 70.124.133.228 (talk) 20:14, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- No, and who is we? CFCF 💌 📧 20:42, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- The Pope. No, seriously, WP editors. (Who is the "we" that your ally Doc James constantly uses?) 70.124.133.228 (talk) 20:44, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- The medical community on Wikipedia—which I invited you to take part in. The reason I ask is because you seem to be rather new to Wikipedia, and have misunderstood—there is no such policy requiring quotation marks. On the other hand there is a policy against superfluous quotes at WP:QUOTE. CFCF 💌 📧 08:51, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

The medical community that you and a few others spend so much effort to control - now why would I want to join that (a rhetorical question). 70.124.133.228 (talk) 09:51, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
You really should stop claiming that something is "policy" when it clearly isn't. 70.124.133.228 (talk) 09:54, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

There's been another request for page protection because of your edits, this time at Helminthiasis. Re: this, did you return to Schistosomiasis as 208.54.38.247? SarahSV (talk) 05:02, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Question
Why do you keep reverting all of Jaguar's edits? CLCStudent (talk) 19:45, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- I have reverted his incorrect AWB edits changing southeast to south-east, etc. in Uganda-related articles. Cheers. 70.124.133.228 (talk) 19:54, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
- That's not incorrect, AWB hyphenates all directions like that. It's been done to more articles, as far as I'm aware. JAGUAR 20:02, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
