Drop Dead, Gorgeous (with a comma) is a six-member post-hardcore band from Denver, Colorado. Their name is a play-on-words on the phrase "drop dead gorgeous." They released their first full length album in May of 2006 (In Vogue) and have been touring since that June. News also broke out on October 20th, on Rise Records' website, that they have recently been signed to Geffen/Suretone Records, and that their new record will be produced by Ross Robinson. They will be filming a music video for "Dressed For Friend Requests" when they play their homecoming show in Denver on their current 2006 tour.

The New Album

News has broken out across many sites of the new record Drop Dead, Gorgeous will be released in the Summer of 2007. Vocalist Danny Stillman explains,

"I want to highlight the key new thing on this record. First off, our music is way more technical. We've added more synths, riffs, and all that good stuff. But the main feature is our new style of vocals. Lets just say, I'll sound less like I had a severe allergic reaction to nuts while performing screams."

With that, an unoffical tittle for the record was given. As of now, the members are calling it "Wheres Grandma Buried?". According to the band, they're trying to change their style of music. They explain that this may be hard, but are straining to have guest vocals from artists such as James Brown. Keyboardist Aaron Rothe explains,

"Our goal is to be different. And I just can't think of a better way than to have guest vocals of an Acoustic / Folk Rock artist on a heavy album."
