This celebration was unknown for the majority of the brazilians up to [[1996]] when a musical group ''Carrapicho'' introduced the hit ''Bate forte o tambor''. This song is used until today in the traditional [[Brazilian Carnival]] to celebrate the culture of the North of the country.

Amazon Carnival is an annual carnival feast celebrated in July in the city of Parintins, Brazil and protagonized with two major blocks: Garantido and Caprichoso. It's based on local folk elements and indigenan culture.

This celebration was unknown for the majority of the Brazilians up to 1996 when a musical group Carrapicho introduced the hit Bate forte o tambor. This song is used until today in the traditional Brazilian Carnival to celebrate the culture of the north of the country.
