A V10 is an engine in V configuration, having 10 cylinders.

V10's have never been a popular configuration for Road cars a V12 is almost as cheap to build and run smoother. The only real use of the V10 has been its use in F1 where the V10 appeared as the best compromise the Compactness and torque of a V8 and the Power of a V11
