D-Boys

The D-BOYS are a Japanese Watanabe Entertainment group that consists of fourteen members.

The D-BOYS

The D's meaning in the group's name, stands for "Drama (stagework)", "Dream (dream)", "Debut (debut)", "Discovery (discovery)" and "Development (growth and advancement)".

Each member also has an online blog that can be found on the D-Boy official website.

History

The three original D-Boys are Yamazaki Ichitaro, Yuya Endo, and Yanagi Kotaroh. On July 27, 2004 open auditions were held with Yuichi Nakamura, Shunji Igarashi, and Katsuki Nakamura auditioning. Then in October 2004, Adachi Osamu, Araki Hirofumi, Kaji Masaki, Shirota Yuu, Suzuki Hiroki, Masato Wada, Shintaro Tetsu, Shunji Igarashi, Yuichi Nakamura, Katsuki Nakamura, and Yuma Minakawa joined the D-Boys. Finally, on July 31, 2005, Kohei Kumai, Kouji Seto, and Shingo Nakagawa became the new members to join the D-Boys. However, there have been members of the D-Boys who have left or transferred, including Yamazaki Ichitaro (who graduated in March 2005 to pursue a solo representation), Katsuki Nakamura, and Shintaro Tetsu.

The D-Boys so far have released two Photobooks. Each photobook contains multiple photographs of each member. The first photobook released on April 27, 2005 was self-titled D-Boys, while the second, released on March 15th, 2006 was called Start.
