Exavier Prente (Nook) Logan (b. November 28, 1979 in Natchez, Mississippi) is a center fielder who currently plays for the Washington Nationals. As of 2006, Logan has a career batting average of .274. He attended Copiah-Lincoln College. He made his major league debut July 21 2004, against the Kansas City Royals, and recorded his first major league hit on a bunt. Although he was expected to compete for the center field job in 2006, Nook was beat out by Curtis Granderson and struggled in the minors. On August 29, 2006, Logan was designated for assignment by the Tigers. On September 1, he was traded to the Washington Nationals for a player to be named later, after telling Detroit management he wanted to be traded, ostensibly to get more playing time in the majors, as most of his time in the Tigers organization was spent in their minor league system.
