Piranha Bytes is a German game developer best known for their Gothic computer role-playing game series. Formerly the name of a company, the registered trademark and label was transferred during a Management buyout. The company's legal name is Pluto 13 gmbH
They are known to be very caring for their fans; releasing patches for their games well after the release date. The Gothic series was developed by them, a series of RPGs that rivals another big series: The Elder Scrolls.
Piranha Bytes has just released the latest game in the Gothic series, Gothic 3.
