I left my argument in favor of separate PbE and PbD articles over at PbD Talk page. I could be dissuaded, however; after all, I don't know how frequently the term is used in robotics. The last time I did anything with PbE (software/GUI sense) was in the early 90s. Yakushima (talk) 15:23, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Robot Programming by Demonstration is by now a well established research area and would deserve an entry on its own. Over the past year, 5 special issues on robot PbD have appeared in the best journals of robotics. There are also a number of recent surveys of the field, the latest one dated 2008 and published in the Handbook of Robotics, which is to become the "bible" of robotics. I have added a link to the PbD page from the robotics one.

To ensure that the distinction between PbE, PbD and Robot PbD is well understood, I would be in favor of having separate pages for PbE and PbD, and have crosslinks across the two pages. A. Billard. July 8, 2008.
