Muljava (Template:Lang-de)[2] is a village in the Municipality of Ivančna Gorica in central Slovenia. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[3]

The local church is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and belongs to the Parish of Krka.[4]

Muljava is best known as the birthplace of the Slovene writer Josip Jurčič and the house in which he was born is now a small museum.[5]
