Map of Iraq

Template:Location map Iraq is a location map definition used to overlay markers and labels on an equirectangular projection map of Iraq. The markers are placed by latitude and longitude coordinates on the default map or a similar map image.

Usage

These definitions are used by the following templates when invoked with parameter "Iraq":

Map definition

• name = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  Name used in the default map caption

• image = [[:File:Template:Location map/data/Iraq|Template:Location map/data/Iraq]]

  The default map image, without "Image:" or "File:"

• image1 = [[:File:Template:Location map/data/Iraq|Template:Location map/data/Iraq]]

  An alternative map image, usually a relief map, can be displayed via the relief or AlternativeMap parameters

• image2 = [[:File:Template:Location map/data/Iraq|Template:Location map/data/Iraq]]

  A second alternative map image, can be displayed via the AlternativeMap parameter only

• top = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  Latitude at top edge of map, in decimal degrees

• bottom = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  Latitude at bottom edge of map, in decimal degrees

• left = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  Longitude at left edge of map, in decimal degrees

• right = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  Longitude at right edge of map, in decimal degrees

• x = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  An expression to calculate a location on the map via its longitude; evaluates as 0 along the left edge and 100 along the right edge

• y = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  An expression to calculate a location on the map via its latitude; evaluates as 0 along the top edge and 100 along the bottom edge

• mark = [[:File:Template:Location map/data/Iraq|Template:Location map/data/Iraq]] ([[File:Template:Location map/data/Iraq|Template:Location map/data/Iraq|8px]])

  The default mark image to display with this map. This can be overridden by the mark parameter in Template:Location map, which would otherwise default to Red pog.svg ().

• marksize = Template:Location map/data/Iraq

  The default mark size (in pixels) for the mark image displayed with this map (should not include px, for example marksize=Template:Location map/data/Iraq, not marksize=Template:Location map/data/Iraqpx). This can be overridden by the marksize parameter in Template:Location map, which would otherwise default to 8.

Alternative map

The map defined as image1 (Template:Location map/data/Iraq) can be displayed by using the relief or AlternativeMap parameters in {{Location map}}, {{Location map many}} and {{Location map+}}. The map defined as image2 (Template:Location map/data/Iraq) can only be displayed by using the AlternativeMap parameter. The use of these two parameters is shown in the examples below.
