A computer table generally has wheels and is specifically used for a computer and its peripherals (keyboard, mouse, monitor, multifunctional printer, trackball, speakers ).

Gyratory computer tables can be used over a bed by people that are bed-ridden (i.e. because a spine problem they have to be horizontal). In this case is convenient to use trackball (instead of mouse) and a keyboard extension cable. This is often used with a WiFi LCD monitor, which is much smaller, lighter and sold than a CRT monitor and can be used wirelessly.

Some computer tables for bed-ridden people are modular, so they can separate one fix module (with the WiFi computer case and connection to the Internet) and portable module (with WiFi LCD, trackball, mouse and , eventually, the multifunctional).
