Android P is an upcoming version of the Android operating system. It was first announced by Google on March 7, 2018[3] and the first developer preview was released on the same day.[4]

Features

  • New user interface for the quick settings menu.[5]
  • The clock has moved to the left of the notification bar.[6]
  • The "dock" now has a semi-transparent background.[6]
  • Battery saver no longer shows an orange overlay on the notification and status bars.[5]
  • A "screenshot" button has been added to the power options.[6]
  • Volume sliders have been shrunk and moved to the right-hand side of the phone.[6]
  • Added a built-in screenshot editor.[5]
