Stoke-on-Trent is a city in Staffordshire in the West Midlands region of England. It is also a unitary authority.

Stoke-on-Trent is sometimes known to be the home of the pottery industry in the United Kingdom and is commonly known as The Potteries. The Armitage Shanks company has its headquarters here. The company makes porcelain products, especially toilets.

Stoke upon Trent is a town inside the city.
