Slam Dunk manga page

Good work on the new images and edits. The character bios I wrote when I removed the player resemblances were quite basic, so I'm delighted to see them expanded. Cheers. Bhamv 11:57, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've been getting more as I find them; I think the page has the potential to expand and include many other characters who have so far been left out. I plan to write up some of these when I get the chance to reread the relevant portions of the manga. --BrokenSphere 18:26, 6 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

WP:China help

Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for your continued help in finding and adding articles to WP:China. There are so many articles and subarticles about China, I could never find them all, but I will keep reviewing them as long as you keep reeling them in.--Danaman5 23:06, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

No problem, I'll keep adding the WP tag and/or history tag to articles as I find em. --BrokenSphere 23:21, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Copyedit Request

Hi there! I saw your name in a list of the League of Copyeditors. I'm about to send Same-sex marriage in Spain to FAC for the first time. Would you terribly mind copyediting it before I do? Peer review revealed prose issues that needed addressing by a good copyeditor, which is why I'm here asking for your help. Pretty please? :) I'd be willing to help you in exchange with anything you might need. I've seen you have an interest in anime, so do I. Maybe I can help with one of your articles? Cheers and thanks for your time Raystorm 22:40, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you don't mind waiting, I'll give it a look when I have the time; ATM I am involved with a time-sensitive project at work that should clear up after Wednesday, so by then I should be able to give it more attention. --BrokenSphere 01:37, 23 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much for your help. Looks great! I've followed your advice and added a mini-preface to that paragraph. I'll be sending the article to FAC now. Thanks again, and anything you need, please drop me a line. :) Cheers Raystorm 12:31, 24 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Singing Priests of Tagbilaran

Thank you for your edit/s. I really appreciate the big help. Maybe you can also do the same honors for Chorus Paulinus, Arnold Zamora and Loboc Children's Choir? Thank you... --Ate Pinay (talkemail) 00:04, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not a problem, glad to make imrpovements to Philippines-related articles. --BrokenSphere 00:06, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Chorus Paulinus

Yes, there are already specific pages for each album...on-going, but we are getting there. --Ate Pinay (talkemail) 00:29, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please refer here Template:Chorus Paulinus albums. --Ate Pinay (talkemail) 00:32, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
I was thinking it might be better to link to those instead of having them reppear in other articles, like Chopa. --BrokenSphere 00:42, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Please expound further. Thanks. --Ate Pinay (talkemail) 02:38, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Taking Chopa as an example, in the Discography section the album information for each of their 3 albums is pretty much the same thing that can be found on each individual album's page. The albums are already linked to. So what I am suggesting is removing what is duplicative and migrating anything that does not appear for each individual album onto that respective album's article page. In the end, you would be left with a Discography section listing all 3 albums.
I also noticed the Notes on selected pieces section; this section be taken out of the Chopa article and appear in the pages for all 3 albums containing only those notes relevant for that particular album. As it appears right now, the reader cannot tell where a song appears unless he/she scrolls up and searches. It would be more relevant to have the specific information pertaining to songs appearing on particular albums on the respective album's pages. --BrokenSphere 03:08, 4 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Article handling

I find it's always a good idea to move non-notable pages to the creator's user space, as a lot of the articles have had a lot of effort put into them, and personally I think that an unfriendly speedy deletion notice followed by the removal of the page is kind of WP:BITE ^_^ Mathematician triathlon I don't think is speedy deletion material - it's not really that it doesn't "assert the importance or significance" of the band, but that they're just not notable at all. Personally I'd be more inclined to PROD or AFD it. ShakingSpirittalk 05:06, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

A really good site for name etymologys (if etymology is what you meant instead of the study of insects, entymology) is behindthename.com. You should check it out. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Athena is hott (talkcontribs) 22:21, 1 April 2007 (UTC).Reply

New Ranma section pages

Given that you have some experience with this, could you help me out in setting up the 'Battle recods', and more importantly 'Chapter by chapter characteristics reference' pages in a few days? Some of them (Ranma & Akane) are turning extremely (8 page+) long, but they really need to get out, to clean up the entire fandom mess, in that people can swiftly browse and check for themselves. I could send them over and let you edit out irrelevant information if you'd like? Dave 15:42, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Just an update. Apparently it wasn't ok to add the battle records page to Wikipedia, so I screwed up, but quickly cleaned up my mess, but I learned that it was ok to create Wikifarms and then add closing links to them at the end, so it worked out all right. Better than intended in fact, since I could set up and link to the profile references as well. Feel free to use them at will. :) Dave 19:32, 24 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Imperial Units

Hi User:BrokenSphere,

Why did you remove my comment from the talk page on Imperial Unit?.

Can you indicate what is non factual in my comment on the definition of the 'pound' vis a vis mass and force? When has it become acceptable to remove the submissions of individuals from an article's talk page?

What do you mean by "refactoring"?

List of Marmalade Boy Characters

I see that you brought back the sub-header for each character. The reason why I removed them is because it states in WikiProject Anime and manga's guidelines, under sections, number 4, first bullet it states "Character sections should not be divided into numerous sub-sections, as this makes the table of contents unnecessarily long." The table of contents is now long since you changed it back. (Duane543 04:06, 29 May 2007 (UTC))Reply

I see your point, but I think to guideline could still apply. As of now the table of contents takes over a whole screen page (or at least for me). That seem like a lot of wasted space. Most other manga and anime character list have moved way from having sub-header for each character. (see Category:Anime and manga characters by series). I'm just pointing out what other articles have done and making suggestions. (Duane543 15:46, 29 May 2007 (UTC))Reply

dude why do u keep changing the CSA thing . You are not telling the truth about what actually happened its all political

Ranma article

If you can tell me what it is you'd like to do with it, I can likely help you. If you'd just like it for your own personal reference, I can email it to you. If you want to use material from it elsewhere, you would also need the page history for GFDL compliance, and I can put it temporarily in your userspace. (Of course, if you plan to just repost it exactly or substantially as it was, this would not go over well.) Seraphimblade Talk to me 18:22, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Would allowing him to keep it in his user space until it's sufficiently modified in terms of thorough references and concise length, and then reposting it be acceptable/satisfactory? Dave 18:38, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I can't honestly answer your question, Dave, unless I were to see such a new version. If the reworked version could substantially address the problems brought up at AfD, then yes.
As to using it for a move to Wikia, that's certainly fine. I can restore the text and history to your userspace, though of course the fair-use images could not be included. (The image links wouldn't work anywhere but here anyway, so that shouldn't cause you substantial difficulty in a transwiki.) Would you like to do that? Seraphimblade Talk to me 19:31, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm not honestly sure of what Wikia's policies are on fair-use images, or whether each one sets its own policies. My advice there would be to ask in the community discussion area of the one you plan to transwiki to, or see if they already have a fair-use policy written up. You can find a copy of the article and history at User:BrokenSphere/Items in Ranma ½. When you're done with it, let me know. Seraphimblade Talk to me 19:54, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
A suggestion would be to merge the items article with the one for locations, in case the former doesn't qualify well enough on its own. Dave 19:28, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
You really think so? The thought of a locations and items article...Not sure about that... --BrokenSphere 19:34, 26 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

About character infobox

I would like to thank you for offering an infobox template so that I could possibly create a separate article for Irene "Rally" Vincent of Gunsmith Cats. Unfortunately, the template didn't work, despite the modifications I had made. I was wondering if you can supply a general anime character infobox template instead of one for a particular series (that was a Ramna infobox, with too many entiries.

If you like, here's how I modified the infobox (this is for a Gunsmith Cats character, by the way, I removed the brackets so that it can be seen and not shown as a broken link):

Infobox GSC Character

| name =

| image =

| alias =

| gender =

| age =

| residence =

| occupation =

| seiyu =

| voiceactor =

| manga =

| anime =

I was wondering if this could be submitted as an offical wiki template. Elwin Blaine Coldiron 23:21, 14 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
