Hi George,

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Zlatiborian, or its relationship with Serbian. As for its status as a separate language, I guess that would all depend on what the precise definition of "language" as opposed to a simple dialect, or accent, etc. I think someone who was more qualified in the field of linguistics than myself might be able to better help you with this. As far as I've read, however, there are several examples of dispute in this area, such as: multiple "languages" being mutually intelligible, while Cantonese and Mandarin are considered by some to be different "dialects" of Chinese even though they're completely unintelligible. As an encyclopedia, I think we should avoid subjective political arguments, and focus on what is and isn't true from an objective scientifically rigorous linguistic perspective.
