Steve Caton is a professional guitarist/singer, song writer, producer, visual artist whose career has spanned almost three decades. First coming to public attention (while playing in a band called Y Kant Tori Read with then-unknown singer Tori Amos) he worked on various projects throughout the 80's. Eventually working on all of her subsequent albums and touring with her from 1996 to 2000. He was signed to a publishing agreement with Famous Music (Paramount Pictures) from the late 80's through the early 90's and has written songs for many movies and TV productions such as the movie Point Break starring Keanu Reeves and the well-known TV series Beverly Hills 90210. Called "Caton" by friends, he started a band in 1997 with drummer Matt Sorum from Gun and Roses fame, Binge, and eventually parted ways with Amos. It is strongly believed amongst her fans that the break with Ms. Amos was less than amicable. He continues to work on various musical projects including the Lisa Marie Presley CD released in 2002 and is deeply involved with print and video work. Caton spends much of his free time surfing.
