Any drug used in the treatment of congestive cardiac failure (CCF) that work by inhibiting the formation of the vasoconstrictor, angiotensin.


These drugs lowers arteriolar resistance and increase venous capacitance; increase cardiac output and index, stroke work and volume; lower renovasular resistance and lead to increased natriuresis.
