David, regarding the Resurrection of Jesus Christ article, I'm personally very sympathetic to your position. In particular, as a Christian I agree that Jesus fulfilled many prophecies in the Old Testament. However, this is a Christian POV. Wikipedia is a great place to document Christian beliefs and especially Christian history. But, something like this must be couched as a Christian belief. Jews today in particular interpret these prophecies either as not prophecies at all, or as referring to something else. There are several occasions in the Gospels themselves when it was evident that Jews at that time understood the prophecies differently; Jesus or the author of a Gospel had to explain how the prophecy was being fulfilled. Then there are the differences between the Septuagint and the Masoretic text; the Septuagint makes the messianic prophecies much more explicit, in most cases, while the Masoretic text makes them less clear, and of course was compiled after the rise of Christianity began.

My main point though, is that it's probably ok to say that "Christians have always believed that the events of Jesus' life fulfilled many Old Testament prophecies" or something similarly conciliatory. I don't think we're giving away anything significant by doing so. Somewhere there's an article already listing the prophecies he fulfilled, but I think it's just a list. You might want to take what you've started on the Resurrection talk page and improve that article along the lines you've started. Keep up the good work. Wesley 15:27, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)
