Piye

Piye (whose name once was transliterated as Piankhi) (died 716 BC) was a Kushite king who invaded Egypt in 728 BC, conquering Thebes and Memphis, and receiving the submission of the kings of the Nile Delta. He founded the Twenty-fifth dynasty of Egypt.
