Cannon God Exaxxion is a seven volume manga by Kenichi Sonoda that deals with Earth's fight against alien colonization with the help of giant robots and super powered battle suits. The Riofaldians feinted friendship with the humans to lure them into a false sense of security to work their way into normal human society. Hoichi Kano has been taught by his grandfather/father (huge plot twist!) that to never trust the Riofaldians no matter how friendly they are. They were the only ones who were right!
Currently being published in North America by Dark Horse Comics.
