Britonia is supposed by modern historians to be a settlement in northern Spain where, in the late 5th and early 6th centuries, Romano-Britons landed to escape the advaning Anglo-Saxons who were conquereing Britian at the time. Britonia shares similarities with the Breton settlement Brittany in Gaul that was being inhabited at roughly the same time.
