There are sevreral alternative spelling of this arts to westerna languanges, I'm into a style that is spelled Ju-Jutsu. Maybe the different versions shold be mentioned.

Spelling versions IMHO is the least important difference between jujutsu styles. It would be more interesting, I think, to develop on jujutsu in koryu schools versus the moderna jujutsu schools (mpst of them actually composed by westerners, at lesat of those common around here). I for one would like to see a list of styles (ryu) of jujutsu, both koryu and the modern Western schools. (This IS the English article, anyway.) Descriptions of these styles would be nice, too, and a bit of history (what styles they are derived from, etc.)

Romanization Conventions

speaking of spelling, 'jiu jitsu' as the article name can't be reconciled with the currently accepted romaji conventions. It needs to be un-redirected back to jujutsu. --Lafuerzasindical 09:28, 23 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I second that suggestion! What is it with some people that they want to use completely weird romanization in Wikipedia? Yari-Zyutu are the Dschiu Dschitsu are the most appalling examples I can find! Shouldn't those redirects be listed as candidates for deletion, they are just clutter. 193.143.83.252 08:39, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
There is a policy to use the most common form in English. Plus, redirects do no harm. — Chameleon Main/Talk/Images 08:50, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
