Brisbane

Brisbane is the capital city of the state of Queensland, Australia.

History

It was established in the 1820s as a penal colony where the Brisbane River empties into Moreton Bay.

In 1982 Brisbane was host to the Commonwealth Games.

In 1988 Brisbane was host to Expo 88.
