I don't know too much about Taiwanese cuisine. I just want to get this started. some Taiwanese wikis please expand this into a real wikipedia article.

My favorite Taiwanese snack dishes include:

  • Yao Yu Gunh (魷魚羹) - Soup with cuttlefish wrapped in fish paste.
  • Orh Ah Jian (蚵仔煎) - pancake made with tiny oysters.
  • Orh Ah Men Shen (蚵仔麵線) - thin noodle with tiny oysters.
  • Orh Bing (芋冰) - a dessert made of frozen taro root paste.
  • Oi Yu Bing (愛玉冰) - a dessert made of some kind of jello or agar served on ice.
  • Boba Nai Cha - Boba milk tea.

Other dishes that I dare not try:

  • Orh Mi Guo (黑米糕) - rice in blood curd.
  • Lu Yo Fan (魯肉飯) - a piece of fatty pork served on rice.
