The Báthory (Hun.) (Pol. Batory) was a Hungarian aristocratic family of significant influence in late medieval eastern Europe. Notable members of this family included Stephen Báthory, king of Poland, and Elizabeth Báthory, Transylvanian countess and source of vampire myths.
