Intoxication is the result of overuse of alcoholic beverages. Symptoms include pale and flushed skin, giddiness, loosening of inhibitions and exhibition of poor judgment, aggressive and violent acting-out behavior, poor motor control, and passing out or coma. A common recovery response to intoxication is nausea followed later by a hangover.

Diabetic coma can be mistaken for intoxication.
