Partisan may refer to:

  • A member of an lightly equipped irregular military force, formed to oppose a foreign invading army or army of occupation by limited combat. Examples of partisan groups are the resistance movements that opposed Nazi ockupation during World War II and the PLO.
  • Someone with a personal or professional commitment to one particular party, faction, cause, or person; such a partisan may also be described as being partisan, and their outlook as partisan views.
  • A pole weapon resembling a broad-bladed spear with laterally projecting blades below the tip.
