Jacques Pépin

Jacques Pépin is one of the most famous French chefs in the United States. Born in Bourge-en-Bresse near Lyon, Pépin began cooking in his parents' restaurant. He went on to work in Paris, eventually serving as a personal chef for Charles De Gaulle and two other French heads of state. Pépin has had several television shows and has written 18 books. He is the Dean of Special Programs at the French Culinary Institute in New York City.
