Don't you just love my user-name it makes me feel oh so evil, I look the part don't I :) ... but seriously I can't think of a better screen name. (And no, I'm not an atheist or satanist)

About myself:

My name is Joseph. I live in "Sunny" Southern California. I currently attend Orange Coast College and I'm majoring in Business Administration.

My interests:

Philosophy: Immaneul Kant, Arthur Schopenhauer, Karl Popper, and other Friesian Philosophers (see below)

Politics/Economics: I'm a staunch Libertarian [1] and free market advocate. Fellow Libertarians include Larry Elder, Neal Boortz, Harry Browne, Ilana Mercer, and Lew Rockwell. (Note: I can't stand Objectivism. I know Ayn Rand is extremely influential among Libertarians, but I don't care much for her bizarre ethics and metaphysics. I, also, think she stole her arguments against the government from anarchist Lysander Spooner. Personally, I think Objectivism is basically just a cult.)

Friesian Philosophy is a continuation of the Kantian/Critical tradition which covers areas such as Epistemology [2], Metaphysics [3], Ethics [4], Value Theory [5], and Political Economics [6], as well as other areas of philosophy [7]. Members of the Kantian/Friesian school include Immaneul Kant [8], Arthur Schopenhauer [9], Jakob Fries[10], Leonard Nelson[11], Karl Popper [12], Rudolph Otto[13], Carl Jung [14], F. A. Hayek [15] among others. This philosophy is an excellent alternative to the nihilistic and relativistic aspects of contemporary philosophy as well as the positivism and naturalism that dominates in current academic circles. The Proceedings of the Friesian School-Fourth Series is edited by Kelley L. Ross, Ph.D.
