Black Holes And Revelations is the fourth studio album by British rock band Muse. It is scheduled for global release on July 3, 2006 [1], but will be released in Japan on June 28 and North America on July 11. The first British single is "Supermassive Black Hole", which was released on CD on June 19 2006, was played on radio and television from May 8 and was available for download from May 9, with a b-side and artwork being released for download with the single on June 12.
The artwork, designed by Storm Thorgerson, depicts a landscape of the surface of Mars with four men seated around a table with four miniature horses on it. The setting is thought to signify Cydonia, and the connection with horses a reference to knights, explaining the title of "Knights Of Cydonia". The knights are also believed to represent the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, from the Book of Revelation in the New Testament of the Bible, with their horses of four different colors.
