Tom Prendergast (Laois)

One of the best players never to win an All-Ireland medal, he also missed out on an All Star award. His career spanned 11 years (1976-87), although he missed out in 1985 when he signed off the panel. This was a huge loss to Laois, who reached the Leinster final against Dublin where a lack of scoring talent cost them dearly. He might have made all the difference that day. Won an All-Ireand club medal with Portlaoise in 1983.
