Yonhap News Agency

Yonhap news agency is a sole news agency in South Korea that supplies domestic and foreign news and information to newspaper and TV broadcast and other subscribers in South Korea. It was founded on December 19, 1980 after the merger of Hapdong News Agency and Orient Press.

is a company whose shareholders embrace all of South Korea's broadcasting networks and newspapers. Yonhap, elected twice to the board of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies(OANA), hosted the OANA Executive Board meetings in October 1982 and in September 1993 in Seoul.
