Plot
Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) and Nisha (Preity Zinta) are married and they have a child, Krishna. Rohit dies in a lab accident in Singapore and Nisha also dies shortly after childbirth at the news of her husband's apparent death. The child Krishna starts growing up under the care of his grandmother (Rekha). As he is growing up, he discovers that he has inherited the superpowers that were transferred to his father by the alien Jadoo in the prequel Koi... Mil Gaya, The movie shows how Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) deals with his powers and saves the world from a megalomaniac scientist, Dr. Arya (Naseeruddin Shah).
As the head of a large information company based in Singapore, Dr. Arya had hired Rohit to build an advanced computer that could see the future, telling Rohit that it will be used to avoid disasters and improve mankind. The brillaint Rohit takes just two years to invent the future computer. When he discovers with its help that Dr. Arya would betray him, Rohit destroys the computer. Dr. Arya, however, is able to rebuild the computer but only after two decades.
Krishna meets his love interest Priya (Priyanka Chopra) when she visits India from Singapore as a tourist with her best friend and others. After witnessing his superhuman abilities, she convinces him to travel to Singapore to showcase his abilities to the world. She at first only wishes to use him for publicity and for her career but grows feelings for him after witnessing his courage and selflessness on several incidents such as rescuing many children in a circus tent fire. It is here where Krrish is born as he finds a mask on the ground and remembers his grandmother's instructions for him to never reveal his identity.
He quickly creates a media sensation in the city, with children wearing costumes of him and people speculating to his real identity.
He befriends a local man after helping him complete his martial arts demonstration after he had injured himself to gain money for his sick sister who is confined to a wheelchair. Unfortunately near the end of the film, he is shot dead by Dr. Arya after he thought that he was Krrish as Krishna had given him the mask to have him gain popularity and money to help his ailing sister.
Later in the film, we discover that Rohit is still alive after 20 long years, having been kept in suspended animation by the evil Dr. Arya, his former colleague, since the machine could only have been activated by Rohit's heartbeat and eye scan. After having the machine completed, he plans on killing Rohit when Krrish suddenly bursts into the compound.
Krrish and Priya rescue Rohit after a dramatic battle and the three return to their village in India where Rohit's mother is overjoyed at seeing her son alive again.

Trivia
- Amrita Rao and Aishwarya Rai were also considered for the role of Priya, but director Rakesh Roshan changed his mind after seeing Priyanka Chopra perform in a special screening of the film Aitraaz.
- The movie was previously titled was Koi ... Tumsa Nahin - a song in the movie is still titled this way.
- Krrish has become a [2]B-school case study.
- Hrithik Roshan did extensive martial arts training for this movie - his trainer was Siu-Tung Ching.
- Hrithik Roshan had a near-fatal accident shooting for a scene in this movie after a supporting wire snapped during filming, but escaped unharmed after landing on a tent shelter.
- As for the unusual spelling of the title, with two R's instead of one, is, according to some, to emphasize the rolling of the extra R. The unofficial explanation is that Niraj Mancchanda suggested this name as it has a good numerological equation. Others suggest a practical reason as domains such as www.krish.com or www.krish.org would be taken.
- Unlike recent reports, Krrish is not India's first superhero: his predecessors include Marvel's Cerebra, Indra, Karima Shapandar and Neal Shaara and DC's Maya, Jinx as well as Spider-Man: India and the heroes from Virgin Comics and Raj Comics, as well as the TV series Shaktimaan and Karma-koi aa raha hai waqt badalney
