Spelling of "Lavander Town"
Do the Pokemon games use an alternate spelling of lavender, or has someone misspelt Lavender Town on the Kanto regional boilerplate? If so, how can it be changed?--Jonathan Drain 01:50, 16 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Capitalization
Pokémon article editors, please have a look at the Manual of Style. Page names and headlines should not be Capitalized Like This except in proper nouns. Thanks. Fredrik (talk) 23:52, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I see that Professor Ivy was added to the Pokémon Professors boilerplate, but her link is inactive. I have created a page on Ivy a while back, but its title features her full name (Professor Felina Ivy). Could the link in the boilerplate be fixed to direct to that article? Images in the templates
See Template:Kanto History On July 15, 2004, Raul654 removed the image of the spinning Pokénav from the template for the Kanto Cities and Towns. The following day, I reverted the image back in because this edit was creating inconsistencies with the other templates of the Wikiproject Pokénav and said:
Give me a good reason to take the image away and if I agree
I'll remove it from ALL the WikiProject Pokénav templates.
One hour later, Raul654 responded with:
Because animated gifs are *laughably* unprofessional. This wikipedia,
not some 12-year-old fan's site.
I've brought this to discussion to see if I can get other people's opinion on the matter.
I, myself, think the image should stay since, well, I added it after all. I think of it as an illustration and "symbol" of this Wikiproject (though I do agree that WikiProjects are not the kind of thing that would need symbols).
If it looks too unprofessional, I could replace it with a still version of the image (not spinning around like a top)
However (although they may try to make it seem at points) Pokémon is not something that serious, really (maybe because it's aimed at 10-year-olds) nor formal.
That's the problem and what I think of it in short. Please put your opinions, thanks.

- I have since removed the animated gif from all templates and articles and listed it for deletion. This is wikipedia. This is not, as Raul so eloquently said, some 12-year-old fan's site. The image serves no purpose and looks terribly unprofessional. Enough said. blankfaze | (беседа!) 13:24, 17 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Blankfaze took the words right out of my mouth. And, for the record, you should not be linking to your project from the article namespace. Cross name-space links are a definite no-no. →Raul654 15:21, Jul 17, 2004 (UTC)
