Villivakkam

The biggest constituency in India, that covers area from Annanagar in south and Madavaram in north Ayanavaram in east and Korator in west. Since this is within the Chennai City Limits and close to Integral Coach Factory ICF & Ambattur Industial Estate, many people have migrated and settled in Villivakkam.

Culture

The two temples Agatheeswerar, and Damotara perumal are one of the oldest and famous temples in Chennai. There were considerable amount of lakes and tanks that store water, that was converted in to apartments and other temples, Masque and Church are also present. This makes the people are more civilized, humanitarian than giving look of cosmopolitan.

Schools

There are very good schools, Singaram Pillai Schools is the biggest and oldest. The school is running by the trust started by Mr. Singaram Pillai. there are other metric schools like Dan Bosco, St Johns, Patma saranga pani are the famous ones.

Entertainment & Malls

There are few entertainment cine halls present, like Royal (now being renovated), Nathamini, Ganga and few. The ground in Singaram pillai School, and V- Ground between the rail tracks & grounds in ICF very famous for boys and girls play food ball, cricket and other sports.

There aren't any big malls in villivakkam as of now, but it has big vegetable market and DK Brothers, food world, Subiksha are present.

Transport

JN Road (100 feet Road) and MTH Road (NH 205) junction, connects Chennai and other town thro one sideand KHR and New Avadi Road to the other side, reaching Villivakkam by road is very easy form any part of Chennai. There is a Metro Transport Bus terminus, which runs frequent services to other part of the City. Lists are

Chennai suburban railway station at Villivakkam is between the segment of Chennai Central and Arakkonam Junction, and just 10Km from Central, there are Suburban services to Central, Beach, Mylapore and Annanagar, Avadi , Tiruvallur, Arakkonam.

Private Hospitals like Mohan Reddy, Kaveri are very famous in that area.
