Great Float

The Great Float, is a dock at Birkenhead,United Kingdom. It was built between 1851-1860. It was buit on the site of Wallasey Pool the entrance was through Egerton Dock as an entrance. The construction of Alfred Dock in 1866 provided access for bigger ships.

It has 110 acres of water and more than four miles of quays, dived between the East Float and the West Float.

The Resurgam was tested in the great float.
