Geilston Bay is a suburb of Hobart, in the City of Clarence located on the Eastern Shore of the Derwent River. It contains one high school, Geilston Bay High School as well as several shops.

The inlet of Geilston Bay was named after Colonel Andrew Geils who was appointed Commander of the settlement of Hobart Town in 1812, upon the death of Governor David Collins.

Colonel Geils lived on property in Geilston Bay which he called "Geilston Park".
