Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Collaboration of the month
Each week a Gaming Collaboration of the week will be picked using this page. This is a specific computer or video game-related topic which initially either has no article, has only a basic stub-like page, or is in need of more information. The aim of this project is to improve the quality of Wikipedia's computer and video game articles through widespread cooperative editing. For a discussion on the correct format of computer and video game articles, please see WikiProject Computer and Video Games.
The project is also used to fill gaps in Wikipedia, to give users a focus, and to give us all something to be proud of. Any registered user can nominate an article and can vote for any number of the nominated articles. Every Sunday, the votes are tallied, and the winner will be promoted for a week to potential contributors.
Previous winners that have gone on to become featured articles can be found at /Features.
Previous winners can be found at /History.
Removed nominations can be found at /Removed.

Voting
Please vote for as many of the following candidates as you like. Please add only support votes. Opposing votes will not affect the result, as the winner is simply the one with the most support votes (see Approval voting).
Remember: Any registered user is encouraged to vote.
To enter your votes, simply edit the appropriate sections by just inserting a new line with "# ~~~~". This will add your username and a time stamp in a new numbered list item.
Tie-breakers
In case of a tie, voting will be extended for 24 hours. If there is still a tie, the candidate that was nominated first wins.
Nominations
New nominations can be made at any time and should be added at the end of this page. Please use the provided template.
If the page you are nominating already exists, please add {{GCOTW}} to the top of its talk page. This expands to: Template:GCOTW
If the article is selected as the Gaming Collaboration of the week, please add {{Current-GCOTW}} to the top of the article page. This expands to: Template:Current-GCOTW
Considerations for nominations
- Giving reasons as to why an article should become the GCOTW may assist others in casting their vote.
- Can the wider gaming community easily contribute to the article? Or is it something only a small number of people will know about?
Pruning
Nominations will be moved to /Removed if they have not received 3 votes after 7 days on the list, 6 votes after 14 days, 9 votes after 21 days, and so on.
Candidates for next week

Comments:
- Seems deficient for an article on such an important game series. --Golbez 21:55, Oct 25, 2004 (UTC)
- While it has quite a bit already, a comparison between the games would be nice; also, a list of all the "2" games would be kind of funny to look at. Mo0 22:58, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Comments:
- If I recall, this was the highest selling game on the Nintendo 64, and not even a mention of the kiosks. --Golbez 21:55, Oct 25, 2004 (UTC)
- This game is sweet. Cookiecaper 03:32, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- I really enjoyed playing this game, even though at the time I was about 8 years older than the target audience for it. The kiosk was in my Blockbuster for almost 9 months. Mo0 22:58, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- This game ruled rather a lot more than you would expect a Pokémon rail shooter photography game to rule. Andre (talk) 00:16, Oct 28, 2004 (UTC)
- I agree, I remember playing this game for the longest time trying to get the highest score possible. GSGold 21:17, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Man, I should heed spoiler warnings. That being said, that spoiler just seems kind of randomly placed there, along with much of the information here. It's a surprisingly deep game for such a tiny cartridge. Mo0 22:58, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Best game on GBA. - [[User:Defunkt|Defunkt (talk)]] 19:00, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Of course. I love this game and it's a bit unusual that there's not much on it. GSGold 21:21, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Holy crap, of course! This game rocked! Johnleemk | Talk 14:56, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Comments:
- The last trail game we nominated was barely changed because few of us have access to it. I think that this article (which doesn't exists at the moment), would suffer from the same fate. At best we may only be able to create a stub. PPGMD
- Amazon Trail is available at Home of the Underdogs, an abandonware site, as is Oregon Trail Deluxe, if that's of any help. Silverfish 00:14, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Shoot-em-up set in an ultraviolent game show, in the "near future" of 1999. Inspired by Robotron: 2084. Not even a stub here.

- Oh please. There's so much that can be said of these series, probably one of the longest running series on videogame history. Besides, the first game appeared on the arcades, not the NES. \ wolfenSilva / 15:36, 5 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- The DS launches the 21st; this would be a good game to have for that week. Let's make that happen, dig? Cookiecaper 17:16, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- I'm surprised you nominated it now, but seeing as I have this incredible urge to know every little thing about this game, I'll support it. Only downside is, I won't be able to help; I can't get a DS right away (and that'd be a little foolish, IMO, I'd rather wait to see how it is first)... Shadow Hog 19:25, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Classic arcade game without even a stub Silverfish 16:25, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Certainly, however, is this the proper punctuation for the game? Andre (talk) 17:56, Nov 14, 2004 (UTC)
- You've got a point, it should be "Mr. Do!", according to KLOV:[1]. I've fixed it now.

- Classic puzzle game, where you have to constuct a set of pipes, to allow a liquid to flow, using random pieces. Also known as PipeMania. Not sure which name is more common, or which used where, etc.Silverfish 16:00, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)
