24 Minutes will be the 400th episode of The Simpsons.
Synopsis
"The landmark 400th half-hour, due to air next May, is a spoof of Fox's"24" that's titled "24 Minutes"and features the drama's Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub as their characters (Jack Bauer and Chloe O'Brian)." - Matt Groening, in an interview with FOXNews. [1]
It has also been revealed that a counter Truancy Unit will be set up at Springfield Elementary School.
Trivia
- It is unknown whether or not this will actually be the 400th episode to air or will merely be promoted as the 400th episode. The "300th" episode, Barting Over, was moved back in order to air right after the Daytona 500). And although it was actually the 302nd to air, it was promoted as 300. Since then, episodes have officially been 2 numbers back of the actual order in which they aired. However, the 350th episode, Don't Fear the Roofer, aired 351st.
- Kiefer Sutherland will guest star in two episodes in the 18th season. This episode, and G.I. D'oh. He is the second Sutherland to guest star, with his father, Donald Sutherland starring in Lisa the Iconoclast.
