Erattupetta is a town in Kottayam District of Kerala state, south India.the town and nearby areas are full of Moslems,who are believed to be Tamil-Vellar/Chetty's converted to Islam.Town is part of eastern high-ranges of Kerala.Thus,part of Malanad.Famous Aruvithura St.George's Church is near Erattupetta.Syrian Catholic Nasrani Christians are also a majority here.Bharananganam lies west of Erattupetta on Palai-Erattupetta road.town is en-route to Wagamon,a hill top resort.
