"Can You Spare a Dime?" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season three. Template:Spoiler Brief Summary: Squidward quits his job at the Krusty Krab, after being accused of stealing a dime. When SpongeBob takes Squidward into his home in order for Squidward to get back to normal, Squidward takes advantage of SpongeBob, making him his personal slave.

Plot
When Mr. Krabs' first dime is missing, he accuses Squidward, who quits his job in a fit of rage and leaves Bikini Bottom. Mr. Krabs and Squidward part on extremely bad terms. SpongeBob meets Squidward outside of the restaurant to warn him of the dangers of the outside world, and insists that if Squidward ever needs anything, he can seek help from him. Squidward assures SpongeBob that he would be better off not working at the Krusty Krab. A day passes and SpongeBob encounters Squidward once more, this time in a very scruffy-looking Squidward's new home - a small cardboard box in an alley. SpongeBob takes Squidward into his own home, and Squidward becomes so dependent on SpongeBob that SpongeBob soon finds himself a full-time servant of Squidward. SpongeBob makes several obvious hints to Squidward so he will get a job but Squidward remains oblivious until SpongeBob explodes and runs to the Krusty Krab (along with Squidward, who is still in bed). SpongeBob begs for Squidward to be allowed to come back to work. Although at first Mr. Krabs forbids it, the missing dime later falls out of his back pocket and he allows Squidward to return. When Squidward arrives, Mr. Krabs accuses him of putting the dime in his pocket. They argue once more, and SpongeBob braces himself to become Squidward's servant once again.

- SpongeBob: I've got a better idea! (Throws away TV and hops on the bed) Why don't I call someone whose job it is to fix it? You know why? Because when I need a JOB done, I get someone with a JOB to do that JOB!!!!
- Squidward: What are you saying?
- SpongeBob: (Jumps out of his house pushing the bed with Squidward in it towards the Krusty Krab) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(At the Krusty Krab) :Mr. Krabs: (On the phone) Donate to the children's fund?! Why? What have children ever done for me?
- SpongeBob: (Hangs up phone} You want your dime back? TAKE IT!!! (Slams a dime on Mr. Krabs's desk) Now Squidward can come back right? (Then Mr. Krabs looks at it with a telescope.)
- Mr. Krabs: Wrong! That ain't me first dime.
- SpongeBob: THEN HAVE SOME MORE DIMES!!! I'VE GOT PLENTY OF THEM!!! (While throwing dimes on the desk)
- Mr. Krabs: You're not pinning this one on me. And I can't forgive that theiving Squidward for stealing it!
- SpongeBob: (Chokes Mr. Krabs then lifts him up} LISTEN YOU CRUSTACEAOUS CHEAPSKATE!!!!!! SQUIDWARD'S BEEN LIVING IN MY HOUSE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! (Then shakes him up and down) AND YOU'RE NOT GONNA HIRE HIM BACK ALL BECAUSE OF A STUPID DIME?!?!?!?!
