Antoine Henri Becquerel (1852-1902), French physicist. In 1896, Bequerel accidentaly discovered radioactivity while investigating fluorescence in uranium salts. In 1903 received Nobel prize for Physics in recognition of the extraordinary services he has rendered by his discovery of spontaneous radioactivity.
