Phione (フィオネ, Fione) is one of the Template:Pokenum fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. The purpose of Phione in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

Although Phione can be created by breeding Manaphy and Ditto, it is yet unknown whether ot not Phione will evolve into Manaphy. This could possibly mean that Phione is the only Pokémon that cannot evolve into the Pokémon from which it's bred.[3]However, Phione can breed, but it will only produce other Phiones and not a Manaphy.
Phione has 80 base stats in all instead of 100 like Manaphy`s, and does not learn the moves Heart Swap or Tail Glow, as Manaphy does. Somehow, it is bigger than Manaphy. Its role and purpose is a mystery.
