Big Red has several meanings:

Sports

• Affectionate name of the racehorse Man O' War
• After Man O' War, affectionate name of the racehorses Phar Lap, Secretariat and Bonecrusher
• The nickname of the sports teams of Cornell University (see Cornell Big Red), Denison University, Steubenville (Ohio) High School, and a secondary nickname for the University of Nebraska and Indiana University Bloomington. Some fans of University of Wisconsin have tried to add this name to UW, but it has not caught on
• The mascot of the Western Kentucky University Hilltoppers and of the National Football League's Arizona Cardinals: Big Red (Cardinals mascot)
• The mascot of Chippewa Valley High School in Michigan
